A resident of Berkeley, California, Dr. Eileen Consorti offers her medical services out of her private office on Colby Street. Previously, she practiced at the office of Lisa Bailey, M.D., also in Berkeley, and at the office of Kaiser Permanente in nearby Richmond. She started her medical career in Texas at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Dr. Eileen Consorti also functions as an instructor of medicine. For two years, she was on the staff of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty with the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine.
Dr. Eileen Consorti began her post-secondary education at San Diego State University, where she studied chemistry and biochemistry, graduating with a Bachelor of Science. She then received a Master of Science in Chemistry at California State University, Northridge; upon graduation, Dr. Consorti earned her Doctor of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Eileen Consorti then completed an internship and a residency in general surgery at the University of Minnesota. She moved to Houston and began a postgraduate research fellowship with the Department of Surgical Oncology and the Department of Cell Biology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Finally, Dr. Eileen Consorti completed a residency as Chief Resident in general surgery through the University of Texas.
After completing her training, Dr. Eileen Consorti acted as Chief of General Surgery at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center for two years before accepting a post as Chief of Surgery. She is also active on the staff at the Alameda Community Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Eileen Consorti maintains memberships with the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons. In her free time, Dr. Consorti enjoys baking, skiing, and hiking.
